  • Educated
  • Alexander is great in many ways. the first way he was great was that he feared NOTHING. He rode into battle ahead of his soldiers and marched into unknown lands. he also did not stop fighting after  he conquered Persia. His army would be tired of fighting so Alexander would lead them alone.
  • Alexander the great was liked by his soldiers. At 16, He was made command of the army and won the respect and admiration of his troops.334 BC- Alexander invades Asia Minor with 40,000 Macedonian and Greek troops and with his cavalry easily defeats Persian troops there at the Battle of Granicus. Once when they were traveling, Alexanders troops gave him a helmot of water but alexander poured the  water on the ground to show that if his army needs to struggle without water, he will have to too.
  •  Key to his courage- Early education and reading the Greek epics, His role model was Homer's warrior hero Achilles. Today he is known as Alexander the Great. His armies extended Greek rule over a vast region. Spread Greek language, ideas, art, and arcitecture throughout SW Asia and Egypt. Marked the beginning of the Hellenstic Era. Refers to when Greek culture spread to Non-greek peoples the Alexandria conqured.
