Our world is dealing with the problem of too much waste disposal that is put into our landfills. Our world produces too much waste for them to even fit in the landfills. We throw our waste in the sea, landfills our backyard but most of them don't degrade and stays as it is even after 10 years.
Due to this problem, people burn plastic and other waste to reduce the amount of waste and create more space. Burning plastic and other waste release harmful chemicals and toxins and it pollutes our air.
30.9% of the waste we produce is containers and packaging, 12.%% is leftover food, 24.5% is nonreusable goods, 12.8% is plant trimmings, 17.9% is reusable items and 1.5% is the other remaining waste.
So what can we do to reduce the amount of waste we send into landfills and slove the problem?
To reduce the number of containers and packaging we throw away, bring your own reusable container for take-out and ask the chef to put your food in your container instead of a paper bag or foam container.
To reduce the leftover food and plant trimmings that don't need, a great idea is to create a compost. It gives the soil and plants nutrients and vitamins it needs to make it healthy. It is like a natural fertilizer.
