Bible Project - John the Baptist
This storyboard does not have a description.
John was a wild man that came from the desert. When he arrived at crowds of people, he would tell them to repent and prepare for the Messiah.
People from everywhere would go to John and after confessing their sins, be baptised by him. The religious leaders watched, appalled, because this dirty wild man was preaching the word of the God that they served.
Jesus went to the Jordan river to be baptised and he appeared behind the crowd that gathered to hear John's word and be baptised by him. John was excited and emotional upon seeing him.
Master...I am not worthy to baptise you. You should be the one to baptise me.
John, now's the time. I am the Messiah and the Messiah has arrived.
So John baptised Jesus in the waters of the Jordan river. After he did so the heavens ripped open and God's voice declared "This is my beloved son, with whom I am well pleased."
After Jesus was baptised, he got out of the Jordan, went through the crowd and disappeared into the wilderness which was where John had come from.
