Storyboard Text

  • Romeo sees his love Juliet standing on her balcony. To him, she is the most beautiful creature in the world.
  • Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon.
  • But their love is forbidden, for there is hostility between their families. Even so, Romeo puts Juliet before his name.
  • Wherefore art thou Romeo?
  • I never will be Romeo.
  • The two lovers announce their passion for each other. Romeo is particularly dramatic; he'd rather die than live without Juliet.
  • I would adventure for such merchandise.
  • Juliet proposes the idea of marriage to Romeo. She says that she'll send a messenger to him tomorrow.
  • Romeo climbs onto Juliet's balcony. He wishes that he were her bird, but Juliet worries that she'd kill Romeo with her love.
  • Yet I should kill thee with much cherishing.
  • Before parting, Romeo and Juliet kiss. Tomorrow they will marry.
  • Madam!
