  • The Spirits
  • The Breathmaker created the Milky Way and the city of the west. Which is the what the Seminoles consider heaven. The good Indian souls go to city and the bad are buried in the ground.
  • The Toad Frog
  • For a good Indian to be able to go to the Milky Way, Everyone must like him and he must be brave man who does not lie or steal. The Seminoles think that the Milky Way shines brightest after a tribe member dies.
  • Beliefs
  • There is a place where human spirits go and animal spirits go. Seminoles don't believe that spirits return to earth to visit people once they have already walked the path to The City of the West.
  • A toad frog comes along and takes a bite out of the sun or the moon. That is what the seminoles think it does when it is eclipsed. They try to shoot the frog with arrows to stop the eclipse. The Big Dipper is along the milky way and that is what takes the spirits to the City in the sky.
  • -The Breathmaker is the Seminole god -They believe heaven is a city in The Milky Way -And the Big dipper carries them there -The Toad frog is their enemy who eats the moon
