  • On a quiet suburban Maple Street, somewhere in America, residents notice a meteor-object flying overhead. All the residents are questioning the flying object and suddenly all electricity shuts down.
  • Climax
  • A young boy named Tommy tells a story he read about in a comic book about aliens arriving from outer space. The people start to suspect each other of being secret aliens after believing his story.
  • Falling Action
  • Suddenly Les Goodman's car mysteriously starts. Everyone accuses him of being an alien. Steve tries to talk sense into the others, but is instead being believed as a suspect because of a radio in his basement.
  • resolution
  • The neighbors see a figure coming towards them. Charlie grabs a gun and accidentally shoots Pete Van Horn. Suddenly Charlie's lights go on, and now he is the main suspect.
  • Everyone is going crazy! Charlie screams and says the real alien is Tommy, the one who said there were aliens in the first place. 
  • In the end, aliens watch the humans destroy themselves, by turning on each other. The residents themselves were the real monsters, not the aliens.
