This is a court case all about whether blacks should be allowed to going to a white school or if they should stay segregated. In the end, the Supreme court ruled that separate schools for blacks and white is unequal and thus unconstitutional.
Lunch Counter Sit-ins (1960)
When people took the bus, it was common for black people to move to the back of the bus and allow the white people to sit there. One day Martin Luther King Jr. ,civil rights leader, had decided to boycott all the buses because it is unfair to lose their seat.

Affirmative Action (1965)
Restaurants were segregated forcing blacks to be seated at a certain table. A couple of protester decide to go against it. They used a peaceful protest strategy where they would sit where white people sit and ask for service. White people will begin to harass them and they have to endure it all.
On August 28, 1983, More than 250,000 blacks and whites marched into the nation capital.
LBJ signed an Executive Order requiring employers with federal contract, to take positives steps to raise the number their minority employees.
