  • FEMA provided trailers for some who remained in the state. These were not sufficient and families were deprived and upset. Families began relocating to other states.
  • MOM! I WANT TO GO HOME!
  • When are we going back Susan?!
  • I just love New Orleans' culture so much.
  • Despite the storm 's destruction. People still gathered to celebrate Mardi Gras. They refused to let their culture die down.
  • Welcome Back!!!
  • 10 Years Later: The Aftermath
  • Little relief efforts have led to little growth in rebuilding. Homes are still abandonded.
  • Where do you think you're going?
  • He's so right. I miss it.
  • Despite the trouble, people are determined to get back to New Orleans. They love it.
  • I don't care about the damage. i will fix it. I have to go back Bertha.
  • Slowly, but surely, people are beginning to trickle back into the culture rich New Orleans that they once knew.
  • So happy I get to raise my children here.
