  • Canada is a great country i'll tell you about the military history,social history and government.
  • Hi i'm new to Canada can you tell about Canada's history.
  • Canada had a major role in World war one and two. In world war one Canada's greatest contribution was on the western front. At the battle of Ypres the Canadians were the only ones that could hold the line against German gas attacks
  • At the battle of the Somme the Canadians  played a major role but had a casualty count of 24,000. The Canadians were so strong they were made assualt troops.
  • Vimy ridge was the first place where all 4 divisions of Canada  were assembled as 1 corps. It took the Canadians only 2 days to secure the ridge
  • The Dieppe raid took place on August 19, 1942. 6000 soldiers  were landed on the coast of France, 5000 of them were Canadian.
  • In the fall of 1941 the British government sent 2 battalions of Canadian soldiers to Hong Kong to aid the British and Indian soldiers.
  • Canada played a major role in the western front with liberating France. Canada was also one of the  major powers in the Italian campaign 
  • The roaring twenties were fantastic. Unemployment was at an all-time low and everyone was living life.
  • But the Great depression was horrible. Unemployment was at an all-time high, food was scarce, everything was un-affordable.
  • Canada is a welcoming and accepting country.
