Hi, my name is Jaskirat Ghuttora, and I am a student in Dr.Sharma's UNIV 201 Class
I am a Sociology major and in my free time I volunteer, play sports and work on my car, however I don't do much research or reading outside of class work
Why Food Distribution is the Most Important Aspect of the Global Challenge
By Juliana, Jas, Arnoud, MD and, Rohan
However, since this class has started I have become more interested in solving the "global challenge" and have picked up valuable skills along the way that I can carry with me in my day to day life
Starting with the first activity I ever participated in, in this class, which was the lego tower exercise, this demonstrated the importance of communication and teamwork when needing to accomplish a task efficiently
Then it was time for the first presentation that we had to do in the class, it was here that the group I ended up in, efficiently put together a presentation by dividing up tasks and rehearsing beforehand, this would help me decide who I wanted to work with for my final group (hint: all of them)
Dr.Kachra's lecture on design thinking introduced a totally new concept that I had never heard of before. It is a way of thinking and innovating that allows users to reach solutions in more creative ways and through empathy.
