Wheaties was created by accident. In the 1920s, a clinician in Minnesota accidentally spilled wheat bran mixture onto a hot stove which created Wheaties. The clinician took it to Washburn Crosby Company, now known as General Mills.
After World War II, the consumption of cereal increased. As well, Kellogg's created Frosted Flakes and its mascot, Tony the Tiger. Also, a new time of T.V. advertising started.
Cereal companies started to be all about labeling to attract customers to eat their cereal.
