I know right! Mass shootings are rare and isolated events and gun reform is too extreme.
These kids are wasting their time!
Digital Activism Becomes Reality
Hundreds of thousands flood D.C. with 800 sister marches around the U.S.
We will open with videos and images from the March For Our Lives event in Washington, D.C. with black inserts of various shooting events with the news reporter stating the incident.
I am Dana Loesch and I will keep your guns safe! Forget those Parkland kids.
This portion will have news clips and emergency calls of the Parkland shooting incorporated to see the buildup to the march and provide background on what happened.
It is an "everywhere problem"
This section of the film will contain news and march footage of Parkland's activism while incorporating speeches and interviews of the leaders and supporters. PSAs will also be shown.
We must acknowledge, share, and refute the opposing view of various politicians and news broadcasters/stations.
Gun violence is not just a school problem, but a national problem occuring in every institution and public area of the United States. We will utilize the correlation of statistics of high/low gun freedom and high/low gun violence while also inserting clips of events that happened within that state. Additionally, we will see if laws changed after said events through interviews.
Our film will end with an poignant set of images/clips and leave the reader with a question something like "How many more have to die before something is done?". We also will highlight how Parkland has changed the conversation about gun reform and how they are being successful.
