Storyboard Text

  • So your saying sir that just because i am a FEMALE i am uncapable of doing something that has been stereotyped as a male sport.
  • Well yes Olivia , i am just stating facts
  • Well, girls are most likely to be nurses, primary teachers or a full time mum. Boys are most likely to become footballers or doctors. And more are more likely to receive higher paid jobs compared to girls.
  • i disagree, just because of your gender you should not be pigeon holed into a certain strand of jobs. There should be equality for everyone and we should all have the same opportunities as each other. so it is fair .
  • The whole class laughed at Olivia and she became really angry with her teacher and decided to challenge him.
  • I am so sorry Olivia for saying that you could not be a footballer. you are right, any gender should be allowed to do any job and i shouldn't think otherwise.
  • thank you sir.
  • And Mr Wilson continued to explain why he reacted the way he did.
  • Olivia spoke her mind and after her response to Mr Wilson the whole class clapped as they realised that what she said was right and that anyone could do any job no matter what gender you are .
  • Mr Wilson realised that he was wrong and decided to apologise to Olivia after the lesson was over.
  • As Olivia left school she was happy to have proven that you can be or do anything you want to no matter of your gender.
