Mrs. Radley died during the winter. Her death did cause much of a havoc in the neighbourhood. After Atticus returned from the Radley house, he said she died of natural causes.
As Scout looked out the window, she saw stuff falling from the sky. This was her first time seeing snow so her instinct was to scream. She thought the world was ending and as Atticus, her father, ran into the room. He reassured her that it was just snow.
Jem, Scouts brother, and her are going to over to ask Miss Maudie's house to ask for her snow. While walking over there Jem stops and tells scout to watch her step so they dont wate the snow.
Jem and Scout spent the time outside making a snowman. They wanted to surprise Atticus when he got home. Used wood for eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons.
eLater that night, Miss Maudie's house caught on fire. Men were taking furniture out of the house. While the whole neighbourhood came out to help, Atticus sent Jem and Scout tostand outside Mr. Radley's house.
Hours later after the fire, Atticus notices Scout has a blanket with her. When he pointed it out Scout was confused as to how she got it. Then Jem explains that because she was caught up in watching the fire she didn't notice that Mr. Radley covered her up.
