  •          Rising Action
  • ¨I open the lamp very carefully just to let the one ray of light fall upon the vulture eye. I did this for seven nights.¨
  • Climax
  • ¨The vulture eye will bother me no more.¨
  • Falling Action 
  • "I smiled and invited the policemen in. The scream I said it was my own."
  • Rising action a related series of incidents that build upward to the point of greatest interest.  The narrator visited that room for seven nights  it was a series of related events.
  • Climax the point of action were the conflict is solved. The narrator killed the old man with the vulture eye so it would no longer bother him he hid the old man in the floor boards of the bedroom.
  • Falling action occurs after the climax and the conflict has been resolved. The policemen come because a neighbor heard a scream. The scream was the old man before he was murdered. The narrator is trying to act innocent after he murdered the old man with the vulture eye.
