  • The Patrician's and the Plebeian's had fought over rights for years.
  • Hi! I'm a Patrician. I'm a wealthy landowner. Me and the other wealthy people of Rome rule the government.
  • And I'm a Plebeian, which means that we are poor and get no rights!

  • Due to majority  rule, YES wins!

  • There were two major class differences in Rome: the Patricians and the Plebeians. The Patricians were the wealthy landowners that ruled the Roman Government, while the Plebeians were the poor merchants who got no rights.
  • Law Part 2
  • In 287 B.C. all male citizens were supposedly equal under the law even though Rome was not a democracy. Rome however had the citizens chose representative for their assembly, but the wealthy had majority.
  • Religion Part 1
  • Under Augustus' rule a new order began between A.D. 14 and A.D. 180, the Roman empire had a long period of peace; trade flourished and provinces were ruled in and orderly fashion , however there was a huge divide between rich and poor.
  • Religion Part 2

  • Romans extended their citizenship to anyone they ruled, so if someone were to move to Rome they would be considered Roman.
  • Welcome to Rome! You are now a roman citizen
  • There were two different religions at one point in Rome. One was The Roman region where they believed in multiple gods and the other was Christianity which only believed in one God. However the Romans saw the refusal of honoring all the gods as an act of treason, punishable by death.

  • The two rulers that opened the door vastly for Christianity was Constantine and Theodosius
