Drew looked through an open door and saw a dead man, he hadn't been dead long. A scythe leaned against the wall beside the bed and there was a paper laying on the bed, it was meant to be read.
The house's door was open and there was nothing inside but silence, so Drew went in. He went through a small, clean living room.
I think someone is dead in this house... It's that kind of atmosphere.
Drew, Molly and their children arrived to a small white house. They were poor, hungry and homeless, so Drew went in to see if the owner was there for asking for something to eat.
Are we gonna eat now, Pa? Pa, we're awful hungry.
Drew started to work, but he realised that something was wrong; the wheat ripened only in separate clusters and it rotted within a few hours after he cut it down, and came up again in little green sprouts, all born again. Here began the story of Drew and "the" scythe that will become a part of him.
Rest in peace
They buried the old man on a hill, said some words over him, came back to the house and had something to eat. After resting and fixing the house it was time to work, it was Drew's task to cut the wheat field with "the" scythe.
When Drew read the note, he was surprised. It said that the first person who enters the house can have it, but with the condition of taking "the" scythe and to use it in the field.
Our luck's changin'!. We'll have work to do and stuff to eat!
