  • A baseball accelerates from rest with a constant acceleration of  
  • 8.6 m/s²
  • How fast will it be traveling after it goes 25m ?
  • If we use the equation Vf²=Vi²+2a(Δx) we can find out how fast it would be going at 25m. Vf is the final velocity, Vi is the initial velocity which is 0 in this case, the A is the acceleration and in this case it would be 8.6, and our Δx is our displacement which in this case is 25m.
  • Substitute the the variables and the equation should be Vf²=0²+2(8.6m/s²)(25m).After solving the equation we find out that the baseball is traveling at 20.74 m/s.
