  • Japan Colonization/Imperilism
  • US Steel/Oil embargo on Japan
  • Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and the Suprise Attack
  • (Circle is Roughly Manchuria) It is important because it shows that Japan felt left out of the previous Treaty of Versailles so it is taking a part of land to substitute for that and it is where they first join the war.
  • Hitler's Rise to Power
  • (Circle is roughly Indochina) After hearing about the Japanese takeover of airfields in Indochina it placed an embargo on Japan no longer trading steel and oil which resulted in lack of important resources Japan needed as we were the main provider.
  • FDR/Date Which will Live in Infamy
  • (Circle is roughly Pearl Harbor) This was important because the US ignored the signs and warnings that Japan would attack which made it seem like a suprise attack. This was mainly important because this is when the US first joined the war.
  • Many causes of the Second World War
  • His rise could be considered to have ended when he became Chancellor of Germany but he continued growing power through his political power  and eventually though his alliances with Japan, Italy, and the Soviet Union
  • Franklin Delano Roosevelt gave a speech responding to the attack on pearl harbor where he said it was an unprovoked and dastardly attack that should cause Congress to place the US in a state of war.
  • There were many causes for the second world war including Italian Fascism, Japanese Militarism, and the Nazi Party's  agressive takeover. I believe the main cause of the WWII was Britain ignoring the growing threat of the Nazi Party and its threat to everyone.
