Jem tells Scout that he found his pants sewn and folded over the fence.
"They’d been sewed up. Not like a lady sewed ‘em, like somethin’ I’d try to do. All crooked. It’s almost like”
“Don’t take it, Jem,”. “This is somebody’s hidin‘ place.”
Jem and Scout find a ball of twine and wait a few days to see who's it was. The next day, no one had taken it so Jem and Scout claimed it.
Listen, let’s leave it and wait a couple of days. If it ain’t gone then, we’ll take it, okay?”
I don't like school. Miss Caroline doesn't let me do anything I like.
Jem and Scout are returning home from school while Scout complains about her teacher.
