Evidence 1: Les's car starts and everyone starts watching him suspicisly
Theme: Humans are each others worst enemy.
IT WAS INSOMNIA
Evidence 2: Don says Steve's wife says that Steve spends nights working on a radio
Oh my god
Steve's the alien!
lol knew it
Evidence 3:Charlie shoots Pete Van Horn and everyone starts attacking each other
I think the theme for "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street" is humans are each other worst enemy. My first evidence for this is when Les's car turned off and on and everyone suspected him and dug deep for all his falls. My proof for that is woman one said " I'd come out on the porch and i'd see Mr. Goodman here in the wee hours of the morning standing out in front of his house...looking at the sky. That's right, looking up at the sky as if... as if he were waiting for something. As if he were looking for something." According to "The monsters are due on maple street (page:675) My second evidence is when Don says Steve's wife says that Steve spends nights working on a radio. This makes people grow more tense and people are trusting each other less and less. My third and last evidence is when Charlie shoots Pete Van Horn and everyone starts attacking each other. This makes everyone break and go crazy and everyone probably killed them self off. In conclusion all it takes is a little problem and everyone turns on each other. That's why humans are each other worst enemy.
