The Mesozoic Era. The rule of the dinosaurs.
The Cenozoic Era. 65 million years before present the end of the dinosaurs and the beginning of the mammals.
During the Cenozoic Era continents were drifting apart and some where colliding forming places like the Himalayas and Alps.
The earth was cooling causing multiple Ice ages.
The dinosaurs may have died but mammals survived due to their adaptations like smaller bodies and being mothers having milk.
Lastly the first humanoid like mammals started to appear becoming what humans are today.
