Today we are going to learn about the journey of fertilisation
When a male and female are attracted and have been in a relationship they may decide to have a baby
When creating a baby the man has to release sperm cells which will reach the female's egg . To do this the male has to perform sexual intercourse with a female. Sperm originates from the male's testicles and will be pushed out by muscles when the male is ready to release.
The female sex cell (ova) originates from the ovary which then travels down the Fallopian tube to the uterus where it awaits the male sperm cell. Usually there are obstacles which will stop many of sperm cells from reaching the egg.
Only one sperm cell can reach the ova and once the sperm cell reaches the egg , the female sex cell (ova) can perform meiosis with the sperm cell to create a baby.
