Once upon a time, there was a peasant who was sent to find a missing Princess. He needed to know how tall the tower is. He was 15ft away and the tower was 12ft tall. Using Tan, he needed to figure out the angle. tan-1(15/12)= 51. The tower had a 51 degree angle.
Suddenly, a ghost appeared. "You must defeat the Dragon to find the princess. You need to climb the stairs but be careful, they are steeper than they seem." The stairs were 5ft tall and he was 2.5ft away. He needed to figure out the angle. Using sin he did Sin-1(2.5/5)= 30 degrees. The stairs were at a 30 degree angle.
The peasant was 4ft away and looking up at a 55 degree angle. he needed to know how far the Dragon's flames could go. using cos he did cos(55)=10/missing side. that equals 7.
with the dragon slayed the ghost turned into a beautiful fairy. You freed me from my curse, thank you. Now I shall reveal where the princess is. she waved her wand and a hole appeard in the wall.
the peasant, struck with her sleeping beauty, kissed her awake. she fell in love with her rescuer and they married when they got back to the castle.
they lived happily ever after, the end.
