  • Hey Maria and Juliet, how's your summer break been so far? 
  • Hey Vanessa, my summer break has been great so far. 
  • Same but I wish we didn't get any summer assignments to do. 
  • OMG, I almost forgot to tell you guys, after that Fourth of July party, I gained weight. What am I gonna do???
  • A few moments later
  • Same, Maria. My bathing suit doesn't fit me anymore after that party. 
  • Sorry to hear that. I'm sure if you exercise and watch what you eat, you'll lost it. 
  • Oh, I have an idea. I should start skipping breakfast. I'm sure doing that will help me lose weight. 
  • That sounds like a great idea! 
  • I wouldn't be so sure about that, that's just a myth. In reality, breakfast skippers actually tend to weigh more than breakfast eaters. Skipping breakfast is not something you want to do if you want to lose weigh. 
  • Aw, that sucks. What about using weight loss pills? I hear those work really well. 
  • Yeah, I heard that too. My friend says that you don't have to exercise when you're on the supplements. 
  • Unfortunately that's another myth too. Weight loss pills aren't always FDA approved and may contain ingredients that are not on the label. If I were you, I would avoid using weight loss pills. 
  • I didn't know that. Well, I'm out of ideas. Have any advice on what I should do? 
  • Me too. Who knew wanting to lose weight would be so complicated? 
  • In my opinion, losing weight doesn't happen over night, you have to work for it. And taking shortcuts isn't going to help you either. You should watch what you eat and try to exercise for at least an hour every day.
