  • Romeo compares her to the morning sun, far more beautiful than the moon it banishes. He nearly speaks to her, but thinks better of it. 
  • "It is the East, and Juliet is the sun. Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon."
  • Act 2, Scene 4
  • Mercutio accuses Romeo of abandoning him and Benvolio the night before and Romeo explains why.
  • "The slip, sir, the slip. Can you not conceive?"
  • "Pardon, good Mercutio, my business was great, and in such a case as mine, a man may strain courtesy."
  • Act 2, Scene 6
  • The Nurse tells Juliet that Romeo is waiting to marry her after making her wait for three hoursand Friar Lawrence marries Romeo and Juliet
