You see, in a singing competition, two singers sing the same song at once, taking turns singing different verses.
Adonis sings the first verse without hesitation. Without even deciding who would go first.
All the attention fell on Adonis. “Oohs!” and “Aaahs!” were extended to every inch of the crowd. The sound of applauses went through the village for miles. The applauses made Adonis feel as if the competition was his for the taking!
When the second verse came around, Apollo began singing.
His voice wasn’t like anything mankind has heard of. But what would you expect? He is a god after all. For the first time ever, Adonis was jealous.
In the chorus, they both sang. Both voices fighting for dominance.
For every applause Adonis gained, Apollo gained 10 more. After a couple verses, Adonis was fed up with the fact that he was losing the competition. So he decided to remix the verses. Put his own lyrics into the song.
When Apollo realized what Adonis was singing, he did not except those vial lyrics to be put into the atmosphere. So, he caused a ray of light to flash around the village, immediately shutting the villagers up including Adonis. Infuriated by the events that have just passed, he angrily speaks,
“Now I have had enough. How dare you try and say you are better than me. Better than a god! And now you speak of the slaughter of us! No more! You shall suffer the consequences against the insult of my kind and my people. I shall revoke you of your voice and hearing. May you never enjoy music again. Enjoy the rest of your days.”
