Peter was a Galilean Fisherman. He lived on the shores of Galilee. God had a plan for Peter and his life. To excel God's Kingdom
Jesus told Peter "Come" Peter dropped everything and followed Jesus. Jesus called him by the name "Cepharus" Which means Rock
Peter was with Jesus for 3 years as he went around ministering to the broken and lost. Peter was on the Sea of Galilee once and it was stormy. Suddenly Jesus walked to them on the water. Peter tried to walk on water but was of little faith.
Peter was with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. When the soldiers tried to arrest Jesus, Peter took his sword out and swung it at the head of one of them.
Peter was taken to the high priest house after Gethsemane. But a woman servant recognized him and challenged him. Peter got scared and said three times that he did not know Jesus. Jesus had predicted this would happen.
There is no description of St Peter's death in the New Testament,But it is he is said to have died in Rome during the persecution begun by the Emperor Nero. It was said he was crucified, like Jesus, but upside down.
