Storyboard Text

  • This is Caleeb. Caleeb stayed up all night and didn't get any sleep. His science teacher is trying to tech him the scientific methods, but he can't focus. This gave Caleeb an idea. "I can use the method to see if sleep effects my education." he murmurs as he slowly falls asleep.
  • He first comes up with a testable question and a hypothesis. He writes in his notebook "If the amount of sleep I get affects my education, then the more sleep I sleep the more I will be able to pay attention in school. He decides to space his sleep times by 4 hours. The first night he goes to bed at 1:00 AM.
  • He woke up tired and dizzy. On the bus he fell asleep and had to be woken up by the bus driver and couldn't pay attention to his teacher in school. So far, his hypothesis is correct.
  • This night, Caleeb goes to bed at 8:00. While he's laying down, he tries to remember what he learned his his science class at school. He grabs his notebook and starts writing the variables. He writes "IV: Amount of sleep. DP: How well I focus. Control: The bed I sleep in..."  and drifts to sleep, hoping tomorrow will be different.
  • At school, Caleeb was wide awake and learned all about the scientific methods. However, thanks to Caleeb's experiment, he already learned the scientific method.
  • With his experiment completed, Caleeb grabbed his notebook and wrote "Conclusion: The more sleep you get, the more energized and awake you feel. As he was writing, he slowly drifted away, early and refreshed.
