Storyboard Text

  • Thank you so much for meeting with me Dr. Weston.
  • It is my pleasure. As the Department Head of World Languages, helping students pursue their interests in those languages makes me happy.
  • I saw online that you are trying to institute a translation and interpreting program for German. What prompted you to do this?
  • Yes, a German major student thought it would be really beneficial in conjunction with the German major.
  • Translation is useful here!
  • And here!
  • Would it be possible to create a program for general translation? Students could specialize in the langaueg of their choice and English.
  • Though it is a useful field, instituting a new course of study can be expensive and time consuming.
  • Yes! That means that I could potentially get the ball in motion!!
  • In theory, it would be feasible. Especially since we have a large student body in the Department of World Languages.
