Storyboard Text

  • I'm not sure what you mean, officers.
  • Back at the Surratt Boardinghouse...
  • We've heard that your son has a talent with knifes.
  • We mean that your son is a psychopath.
  • You have the right remain silent. Anything you say can and will be held against you.
  • Uuuuuuh. Anybody order a pizza?
  • I didn't even do anything.
  • Inaction is an action, bub.
  • Investigators believed that Mary Surratt's son John Surratt was involved with the attack on Secretary Seward, so they went to the Surratt Boardinghouse to question the inhabitants.
  • ...and that's what happened.
  • H-oly shit!
  • While investigators were questioning the Surratts, Lewis Powell knocked on the door of the boardinghouse seeking refuge from the manhunt and his tree. The officers inside arrested Mary Surratt and Lewis Powell on the spot.
  • $100,000? That's a whole lot of prostitutes!
  • On April 20th, George Atzerodt was finally tracked down at his cousin’s house.
  • You ned to row blah blah blah blah blah. Most importantly, remember to look out for blah blah blah.
  • Ah yes. That was completely understandable.
  • George Atzerodt gave a confession to investigators that finally tied Dr. Samuel Mudd and Mary Surratt to the conspiracy to kill the President.
  • Secretary of War Edwin Stanton had to give all his attention to the last battles of the war, so he turned the manhunt over to his friend Colonel Lafayette Baker. Colonel Baker was a narcissistic man, and after Secretary Stanton created a $100,000 prize, Baker was suddenly more motivated to find the conspirators.
  • Meanwhile, Booth and Herold were given a boat by Captain Cox's friend Thomas Jones. He told them which way to row in order to get to Virginia as they would be much safer in Confederate Territory.
