Mesopotamia was a civilization located in Syria. Mesopotamia had the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. These flooded and left behind silt, a fertile soil, but allowed invaders. Not only the rivers there was the Zagros Mountains. These protected from invaders but limited communication.
Mesopotamia practiced many different religions. Those were Sumerian, east Semitic, Akkadian, Assyrain, and Babylonian. the Mesopotamians were divided into 6 classes. They were Kings, Scribes, Merchants, Artisans, farmers, and slaves
One of Mesopotamias cultural beliefs is Hammurabis code. Hammurabis Code is a well preserved Babylonian law code. IF other civilizations did not believe in this code they could start a war with Mesopatami.
They followed three different governments depending on their religions. Those governments were the Sumerian goverment, The Babylonian Government, and the Assyrian government. Each of these governments had different sets of laws. Based on your beliefs that how you would choose your governments.
Some historical events that occurred in Mesopotamia was in 1200 BC, when the Assyrians conquered most of Mesopotamia. Another historical event that happened was in 3400 BC through 3500 BC was when Mesopotamia began to grow and became a bigger civilization than it already was. Some conflict of compromises that occurred during the historical event about the Assyrians conquering Mesopotamia is when the Assyrians became a goverment in Mesopotamia and they stopped trying to cause conflict with Mesopotamia.
