  • I am Peter the hermit.  I am going to lead you to Jerusalem to get it back!

  • In this cell, it is showing you that the Muslim Caliphs allowed the Christians to go on a pilgrimage.
  • Jerusalem has fallen.
  • we need to make a third cursade.
  • In this cell, it is showing you about Peter the Hermit leading untrained men, women, and children in a crusade to get Jerusalem back.
  • This is when the the muslims counter attacked and conquered Edessa.
  • This is the conversation between the rulers of Germany, France, and  England to start the third crusade.
  • That seems like our only option in order to get Jerusalem back for the Christians
  • The fourth crusade was a total epic fail because the crusades attacked Constinople.
  • The Crusades brought the Western Europeans architecture (domes), mosaics, better ships, more accurate maps, and taught them how to use a compass to tell direction.  The wealthy Europeans began to want spices, silk, sugar, and lemons.
