Why was Christopher Columbus' Journey So Important?
I heard that Christopher Columbus is trying to find a sea route to Asia.
I'm glad to hear that because there are some wars going on through the land routes.
Christopher Columbus was born in Geona, Italy in 1436 and died on May 20, 1506.
Did Christopher Columbus Discover Any New Land?
Christopher Columbus took the Santa Maria, the Pinta, and the Niña with the mind set to find a sea route to Asia for trading.
How did His Journey affect the Indigenous People of the Land they Discovered?
Did He Accomplish What he set out to Achieve?
Christopher Columbus discovered America on accident while he was trying to find a sea route to Asia. He thought that he was in India so that is why the native americans are sometimes also called indians.
The indigenous people were confused and scared. They didn't know why all of a sudden these people of different skin color were showing up and taking over their land.
NO he did not. He did find a new continent which is still a great discovery because if he didn't find America, either someone else would have or we wouldn't be here.
Well I feel like and idiot. I didn't find a sea route to Asia but at least I found new land.
