Storyboard Text

  • *1 hour later*
  • Maybe I should go to a credit counselor and find out why.
  • I answered all her questions correctly- er at least I think I did.
  • Are you kidding me?! How did I not get the loan?
  • I really want to know why I didn't get it!
  • Hi, Mr. C. I wanted to ask you why I didn't get a loan I applied for.
  • Well, Peter, I don't know exactly why, but I can sure try to help you out.
  • Of course I do. A loan is a specific amount of money that you borrow, that you pay back later.
  • So, you told me you wanted to take out a loan. Do you even know what a loan is?
  • Yeah, how else would I pay for everything?
  • Okay, but do you know what the 5 C's of credit are?
  • Good! And you have a credit card don't you?
  • No... what are those?
  • Capital is your money, capacity is your ability to repay a loan, character is your credibility,...
  • The 5 C's of credit are capital, capacity, character, collateral, and conditions.
  • Wow, that's a lot to know.
  • ...collateral is the item you get, to make sure you repay the loan, and conditions are what the loan is being used for.
  • I know it is, but now that you know what they are, do you think you did well in the loan interview?
