Back in the day 100's of years ago around the 1600's the people of china mostly Nothern all came together to go against the ming dynasty. They went in and conquerd the land. A new ruler came and stepped in and started the Qing dynasty
Approximately 83 years later just about the dynasty started allowing and getting all of China involved. There rules were quite harsh for an example anyone who went against them were executed. They made it better though by adding civil service exams. That is basically where it doesn't matter what class your from or how high your social status is its all about the work you puy in and how skilled you truly are which gave the people on the lower class a standing chance.
Those who are under The Qing Dynasty's rule had been isolated from foreigners and other people who weren't in the dynasty. The only thing that they involved themselves with that had to do with the foreigners and the outside world is that they traded tea and silver for things such as opium which was very bad for them and there workers because the workers became high all the time
The leaders and or Empires and the higher classes believed in Buddhism very much. They also loved art very much so that they had painting, sculpting and sculptures and many other things along with that.
Going back towards the opium, that was a very, very ig issue with the chinese because various amounts of people became addicted to it and that's how it became seriously illegal.
When the 1900s's came around The Qing dynasty had come to an end. Many disasters came around and various amounts of war began to break out
