Melissa was back from school but little did she know she was in for a lambasting from her mom.
Mom I'm home!
Hi Melissa. Listen did you get the groceries?
Umm, no I wasn't able to since you didn't give me the money.
MELISSA. I gave you the money for groceries. You definitely spent it on makeup!
What!? No, I never got any money from you. I don't understand where you are coming up with this false information.
Oh, I see I left it on top of the fridge for you in the morning. I forgot about it since I was rushing to work.
*jumps up to grab envelope* Look, here you left an envelope with a list of the groceries and the cash inside it. You never gave this to me in the morning.
It was at this moment Karen realized that she was wrong and said hurtful things to her daughter that were uncalled for. She knew that right thing to do was to admit that she wrong and to ask for forgiveness.
Its important to know that forgiveness does not change the past but it does make for a better future.
Listen, Melissa I was wrong in accusing you of using the money for makeup. I was forgetful and I am sorry. Can you please forgive me?
Its okay mom. I forgive you. I will be sure to get the groceries first thing tomorrow.
