INSIDE THE SWEAT LODGE: before Jedda embarks on her vision quest, to enter adulthood, she must undergo a purification, to purify the body, mind, spirit, and heart. Also, it restores right relationships with others and creators
CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN TO GO TO THE SECRED LOCATION Jedda is walking to the top of the mountain, which was chosen by an elder as a sacred place where she will be staying there with no food or drinks for 3 days. she also brings a pipe to smoke to help her with her visions
JEDDA PRAYING "If not now when? Who will sing the praises of this place if not you? Can you make love with limp excuses?Just one word in your own voice would cock the heads of robins, but today they listen only to worms. Every morning a thousand birds give the world a chorus of themselves without hesitation or regret. All through the day the trees and sky speak in the hushed voices of lovers, and in the night the grasses sigh in the warm hands of the evening breeze while fireflies flash their honest love to the distant stars passing overhead. When you are ready, join the conversation, it still needs the strong and delicate sound of your voice." - Thomas Griffin
JEDDAS VISION: After 3 days of not eating and drinking, and purely meditating and praying the previous prayer. In Jedda's vision she saw her spirit helper as a dolphin appearing on a big crashed wave, which will be analyzed later by an elder/medicine man
WALKING BACK TO THE VILLAGE TO INTERPRET HER VISION: Jedda is now done her vision quest and is on her way to get an explanation of what she saw.
JEDDA ARRIVES AT VILLAGE: as Jedda arrives she meets with a medicine man, who interprets why she saw a dear in her vision. he explains how the animal seen on the trip is her spirit animal and can either outline who is is as a person or what she should be. in this case Jedda's spirit animal means that she must be compassionate towards herself and others. Jedda listens carefully to the elder and is now able to enter adulthood
