The USSR or the Soviet Union split into 15 countries that were not dependent upon each other
The people who were involved in the fall of the Soviet Union were Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan. Mikhail was the leader of the Soviet Union and Ronald Reagan was the president of the U.S.
The fall of the Soviet Union or the USSR occurred because Gorbachev made 2 new laws or rights. They were called Perestroika and Glasnost. Gorbachev later resigned .This made the Soviet Union split up into countries.
The fall of the Soviet Union or the USSR occurred during the time period of December 25, 1991.
The event occurred in Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. All of these countries were formed after the split of the Soviet Union.
