The American Revolutionary War was caused by King George III. The first problems were the Stamp/Tea Acts. Soon after, protests began to break out.
The American colonies were outraged. They came to America to establish a free land but King George III vowed to rule over them til the end and sent soldiers to collect taxes.
NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION
The American colonies decided that they had enough. So they gathered all of the tea and tossed it into the Boston River, declaring their independence.
The revolt sparked conflict between the pilgrims and Britain, and soon after, war was declared.
