  • Mr. Crawford's Reality Check By Katherine Castillo and Alexis Salinas 1st Period
  • One late afternoon, Mr. Crawford was in no mood to cook and so he left his house to go buy some food at the nearest place.
  • Grrrrrrr!!!
  • Ugh I'm so tired of cooking! I'll just go to Mike's instead!
  • Chinatown is that way. So why don't you and your friends just go over there for some rice that you "ALL" like so much.
  • Meanwhile, Mr. Kim was also making his way towards a restaurant, which just so happened to be his favorite, where he was going to meet up with an old friend, Dr. Lee.
  • I'm so happy to go to Mike's to eat! I can hardly wait to get my hands on a burger-...
  • ...nice to meet you too. (Clapping hands together) Funny thing though, I am actually meeting a friend here and rice is not on the menu for us today.
  • Unbeknownst to one another, Mr. Crawford and Mr. Kim where both headed to the same place.
  • When suddenly Mr. Crawford saw Mr. Kim.
  • That guy must be going to some place to eat rice. Asians only eat rice.
  • Upon viewing Mr. Kim about to enter the restaurant Mr. Crawford flipped out.
  • Mike's Restaurant
  • Dude are you really gonna enter Mikes?! They don't sell rice here, "bro".
  • (Chuckles) I beg your pardon.
  • Wait... I'm confused now. What else could you possibly EAT besides rice?
  • Mike's Resturant
  • Follow me, I'll show you.
  • Prejudice: Preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
  • Mr. Kim, being a counselor immediately saw through Mr. Crawford's anger and instead of stooping down to his level he actually brought him in to meet Mr. Lee and little by little Mr. Crawford eased up and he came to realise that Asian people are like all other people and they soon became friends. Mr. Crawford was never mad again. The end
  • (Talk, talk, talk. Laugh here laugh there. Good pals.)
