  • Kino and Juana wake up to a normal morning, and start off on a normal day. They are calm, and collected as they start their day. Then, they hear a little cry from their den. They rush in to see that Coyotito is about to be stung by a scorpion.
  • Falling Action: Devilish, Anger
  • Noo!
  • But they are too late, and Coyotito was stung. Juana calls for the doctor, which is unusual, and the doctor refuses. So, Juana prays for Kino to find the "maybe pearl", to heal Coyotito.
  • Resolution: Grief, Depression
  • When Kino goes pearl fishing, he finds the great pearl, and sees his family's rich future in it. He says he will sell it, but when he tries to, the buyers say it is worthless. Kino gets really mad at this, he says he will go to the capital to sell it.
  • So they left. But as they left, they came across some searchers looking for "them", and Kino decided to take them out. But it ended badly. Coyotito died, shot, and though Kino gained a rifle, he was no longer Kino. But the searchers were murdered.
  • The couple decided to return to their hometown, and throw away the pearl. Families gathered and looked at them through filters of evil. The family was no longer the same, even without the pearl.
  • You should throw the pearl.
