Storyboard Text

  • Welcome Mr Jones. Now lets discuss the new novel that you have fabricated.
  • Thank you again Patty. You are one of the most eminent editors of our time, and I am honored for you to be reviewing my novel.
  • I love your idea for a story about a pauper that pilfers for a living. And I especially like having his cherubic, 6 year old son as his marauding sidekick.
  • Yes. The son definitely makes a great adherent!
  • However, I have some dissent about the part where the son and the pauper enter into an altercation.
  • But it really brings out the theme of how good always overcomes evil, and that usurping people's property is never right, no matter the situation.
  • Can you exorcise it in some way? It is so sudden, and it creates a rift, right in the middle of the story!
  • Oh, but I really don't want to terminate that part. Is there any other way I can surmount this problem?
  • Well, I might condone it if you make the argument less irate. After all, the pauper is arguing with his son, and at the end of the novel, they become friends again.
  • That might work, but I don't want that section to seem trite. I already used something like that at the end of another argument. I wanted to make this the climax.
  • OK. Maybe if you added a semblance of mystery to the argument, like the son realizes that the pauper isn't his real father, or another plot twist that's shrouded by mystery.
  • That's a great idea! I will do it right away!
