- One day, in a village, there were a lot of creatures there. Bree Rabbit and Bree Ox Cooter were neighbors. Brer Rabbit used to poke fun at Brer Cooter because like all turtles, it moves slowly.

- BRER COOTER WON THE FOOTRACE!

- The footrace start and Brer Rabbit and Brer Cooter dashed away from the first post at top speed. In an instant, Brer Rabbit had passed Brer Cooter and kicked up dust in his face.
- Brer Rabbit left the turtle far behind across the field. But Brer Rabbit had not gone very far before he came tohis house, and then he stopped. And drinks lemonade juice with his wife.

- Brer Cooter won and the Brer Rabbit learned a good lesson that never pays to brag or to make fun of other creatures.
