Because of the oracle King Acrisius shut Danae away from the sight of men but not the gods. Zeus fell in love with her, thereafter her son was born. His father discovered that Danae had a baby, that's why he put them in the chest and he let them adrift upon the sea.
Dictys saw the chest and he opened it. He beheld Danae and her son, afterwards, Perseus grew up there. King Polydectes fell in love with her but Perseus didn't agree. That's why the king challenged him.

Hermes and Athena helped Perseus on his quest to kill the Gorgons and after that he traveled to find the Gray Women.
He tricked the Gray Women to give him information. After that, the nymphs gave some things that could help him and he sped up until he reached where the Gorgons are.

Perseus heard what Athena said and beheaded Medusa. Then, he saw a beautiful maiden named Andromeda and rescued her from the monster. Thereafter, they got married.
King Polydectes upbraided Perseus for lying. This made Perseus angry that's why he showed it and Polydectes turned into a stone. Danae, Perseus, and Andromeda goes to the game where King Acrisius. Perseus take the part and he throwed the discus which had killed Acrisius.
