Storyboard Text

  • Sarah had been accepted at the AFA in Colorado Springs, CO.
  • I can't believe I'm finally here!
  • Me either!
  • When she arrived, she began to basic training, but began to experience weakness and other symptoms related to altitude sickness.
  • I don't feel so good.
  • She became very ill very quick and felt she couldn't go on with her training.
  • Oh, I've been feeling tired. Last night my head was hurting so bad I thought it would burst, then I started vomiting everywhere!
  • As Sarah's body began to experience symptoms of altitude sickness, her body began to work overtime.
  • Sarah's body began to heal itself. Her kidneys sensed a drop in her oxygen levels, and began to produce erythropoietin. Then her bone marrow began to produce more bone marrow to increase the oxygen levels.
  • I feel awful.
  • By the end of the three weeks of training, Sarah began to feel better and was back on her feet once again.
  • I finally feel like myself again!
