  • Remember when your mum was boiling that water and then water vapour was in the air?
  • Uh...yea i do.
  • Well that is called evaporation. It'sthe change of state from a liquid to a gas. It occurs when a liquid gains thermal energy.
  • So that means the particles of the gas will most likely be spread out and it moves quickly in all directions.
  • Yeah alright.
  • Another particle of theory is called condensation, it's basically the opposite of evaporation unlike evaporation it needs a release of energy to form. It's the change from gas to liquid.
  • Yea true.
  • It's like when you shower with very hot water and i tell u it's too hot. But then i walk in during your shower and notice that your bathroom mirror becomes foggy, with drops of water.
  • Well son, to begin with, the distribution of water on the Earth’s surface is extremely uneven. About 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered in water. Only 3% of water on the surface is fresh; only 0.4% is liquid freshwater.
  • Mum do you ever wonder how water gets here, like the distribution? or the cycle it goes through?
  • Water moves around Earth in the water cycle. The water cycle shows where water is found, the state in which it exists, and how it changes from one state to another.
  • Alright!
