Storyboard Text

  • In this small town there was a lottery that always took place in June. Mr. Summers and Mr. Graves were in charge of the lottery. Everyone in town gathered there to see who would get selected.
  • Finally, all the paper slips were mixed together and each person was called up by alphabetical order to get there paper. The person with the black marked paper was the lottery winner. Then, it would go to that persons family and the everyone there would get to pick.
  • When everyone in the town had drawn their slip of paper, Mr. Hutchinson  was the one who got the marked paper.
  • Mrs. Hutchinson claims that her husband didn't get enough time to choose a paper. As they go through the family, Jr., Nancy, Dave, and the oldest, Bill didn't get picked. They laughed of relief. Mr. Hutchinson didn't get picked either. So that meant Tessie Hutchinson was the winner.
  • Mrs. Hutchinson knew what that mean. She would be stoned to death. She, in shock kept saying, " Its not fair! " but the people of the town picked up stones from the pile and started to throw.
  • Mrs. Hutchinson is getting stoned to death as she is most likely to die. Even her family members are throwing stones at her.
