Storyboard Text

  • During Andrew Jackson's presidency, the Indian Removal Act was enforced which moved the Indians out of their land into a new home which was paid for. They were given 2 years to move out.
  • You're outta here! You can't stay here anymore, but don't worry, I have paid for your new home.
  • There were little supplies. The journey was 1,000 miles.
  • Move the Indians out of here, you'll be supplied some necessities, enough for the Indians to survive.
  • Whatever you say Mr. President.
  • The Indians were treated harshly. They were given barely any food.
  • Can we please have some food? We haven't eaten in days!
  • NO! We only have so much. Keep walking or you get NONE!
  • Please help her! She's my sister! She can't die!
  • Boohoo! Does it look like we have any medical aid?
  • The Indians were given little to no medical supplies and/or aid.
  • Get off your knees and KEEP MOVING!
  • If you weren't granted a new home, all of you would've died.
  • Around 4,000 Indians died on their journey, which left around 11,000 people that made it to their new home.
  • This is your fault!
  • The Indian Removal Act was controversial at the time, and it is still somewhat controversial now. Some people still think; Was he a villain or a hero?
  • Why did you not listen!?
  • You made the right choice Mr President.
