Inanimate Alice - Autobiography

In 2013 my family and I decided to move from Manukau to a more rural lifestyle block. We had been looking for a few months and finally we found a house that had 13 acres of land. It was a little over our budget but we knew that we would never come across a better house.
Since we had 13 acres we had to get some animals to keep the grass under control. We bought 3 weaner calves, sold them when they were 2 years old and then bought 4 more. Since we wanted to save some money we put Bruce, a mean angus steer in the freezer. We have 2 horses, 1 dog, 1 pig, 3 cows, 8 sheep and 2 kittens.
A few months after I moved I started at Ramarama School where I made friends instantly with Beth and Paige. It was a lot different because there were around 600 kids at my old school and at Ramarama there were around 200. Everyone was friendly and made me feel welcome.
A few months ago my family and I went to Queenstown. It wasn’t as cold as what I expected it to be and when we had a walk through the main city, I couldn’t see anyone else wearing shorts.
My highlight was going to Patagonia Chocolates where we had a delicious fruit sorbet and Cocoa Black where I had the most creamiest belgian hot chocolate I have ever had.
This year the Year 7&8’s went to Camp Bentzon where we stayed for 5 days. We had lots of fun doing activities like kayaking, sailing, bivouac building and archery. I was in a cabin with Erika, Holly, Charlotte and Kaitlin. My favourite part was archery, sailing, having fun with my friends and being away from my sister.
